The Program DIATROFI is ongoing in remote and rural areas for the current school year
December 14, 2015, 50.000 meals free of charge offered to 1.030 students in 13 schools of vulnerable socio-economic areas in the regional units of Xanthi, Rodopi and Emathia will be distributed by the end of January 2016 under the project “Program on Food Aid and Promotion of Healthy Nutrition-DIATROFI: Implementation in remote and rural areas”.
Athens College Elementary School
Athens College Elementary School supports for a second consecutive year the DIATROFI Program and the campaign “No More Hungry Children at School”. With its kind support 5.107 sandwiches were distributed to students of schools participating in the Program.
Prolepsis Institute participating in the 6th Symposium of Working Groups of the Hellenic Atherosclerosis Society
Prolepsis Institute is presenting the National Dietary Guidelines at the 6th Symposium of the Working Groups of the Hellenic Atherosclerosis Society (HAS) that will take place on the 4th & 5th of December at Divani Caravel Hotel in Athens. Dr. Christine-Maria Kastorini, clinical dietician and nutritionist, will present on Friday the 4/12 at 11:00am the project Development and dissemination of the general and specialized National Dietary Guidelines “Ef Dia…Trofin ”.
The Hellenic Initiative supports the DIATROFI Program
We would like to thank The Hellenic Initiative (THI) for supporting the DIATROFI Program. With the grant offered by THI, 4 additional schools with 258 students will participate in the DIATROFI Program the current school year. At the same time, through the matching fund provided by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), grant donor of the program, another 6 schools with 783 students will also be included in the Program.

Prolepsis participates as a Country Agent in the new European project MOCHA - Models of Child Health Appraised. MOCHA started in October 2015; it is a three-year project and is implemented under the EU Research and Innovation program - Horizon 2020.
Findings of the program DIATROFI presented in the conference “Fragmentation and Exclusion, Understanding and Overcoming the multiple Impacts of the Crisis” (FRAGMEX).
Prolepsis Institute participated in the conference organized by the Crisis Observatory of the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP) on November 25 at Impact Hub in Athens in the context of the research program FRAGMEX “Fragmentation and Exclusion: Understanding and Overcoming the multiple Impacts of the Crisis”.
