The “Crossing Bridges” project was successfully completed
The “Crossing Bridges” project was successfully completed in June 2012. In the framework of the project a course was developed for health care professionals working in the area of cross sectional collaboration in the area of health. The course was then delivered through national trainings to health professionals from nine countries.
Seminar on Writing Scientific Papers “Medical Writing Seminar”
A successful seminar on writing scientific papers titled "Medical Writing Seminar" was once again held this year. The seminar was organized by the Institute of Preventive Medicine Environmental and Occupational Medicine, Prolepsis, with the kind support of Lundbeck Hellas S.A., and took place on June, 29-30, 2012, at Divani Caravel Hotel.
Event in honor of the Directors/Program Coordinators of the schools that participated in the Food Aid and Promotion of Healthy Nutrition Program for students
The current school year has come to an end and with it the pilot phase of the Food Aid and Promotion of Healthy Nutrition Program which was implemented among students of elementary and secondary schools. On this occasion the Institute of Preventive Medicine Environmental and Occupational Medicine, Prolepsis, organized an event to honor and congratulate the directors and the program coordinators of the schools that participated in the program. The event was held on Thursday, June 21, 2012, at Prolepsis Institute.
A 3-day training seminar on domestic violence against women and particularly migrant women
A significant event was organized by the Institute of Preventive Medicine, Environmental and Occupational Health, Prolepsis. In the framework of the European program "Sunia Geel, to prevent and combat violence against children, young people & women and to protect victims and groups at risk”, in which Prolepsis is a partner, a 3-day training seminar on domestic violence against women and particularly migrant women was held, on June 8, 9 and 10, 2012, at Prolepsis Institute.

The Institute of Preventive Medicine, Environmental and Occupational Health, Prolepsis, intensifies its actions to promote the health of vulnerable groups such as older people implementing, with the kind support of Tena, a series of informational events for the prevention of accidents, at Municipal Day Care Centres for the Elderly.
Seminars on “Health in All Policies (HiAP)”
Improving societal health and well being, and reducing levels of health inequity cannot be achieved by the health system alone. All policy sectors that affect health, for example the employment, financial and environmental sectors, must actively contribute to improving health or consider and optimize their health impacts. Therefore creating synergies between different sectors is vital. It requires, though, skills and specific knowledge.
