Launch of the European Website on Healthy Ageing

EuroHealthNet supports the 2012 European Year for Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations. In this context, EuroHealthNet launches its new website: www.healthyageing.eu. This website is dedicated to raising awareness of healthy ageing within the context of the EY 2012, especially of the important role health promotion plays in contributing to a healthier, more active EU population for the future.

Presentation of the Pan-European Conference on Social Integration of Immigrants during the 2-day Conference organized by the Ministry of Interior Decentralization & E-Government

Τhe results of the 2009 Annual Program of the European Integration Fund and the "National Strategy for the Integration of third country nationals 2011-2015", were presented during a Conference organized by the Ministry of Interior Decentralization and E- Government. Moreover, the annual program of the European Integration Fund 2012 was discussed during the event. The Conference took place on the 25th and 26th of November 2011 at "Technopolis" in Gazi, Athens.

Obesity and its consequences was the subject of Prof Linos’ editorial hosted by the journal hυgeίa@εργασiα, issue 3 (September-December 2010). The magazine is the scientific edition of the Hellenic Society of Occupational and Environmental Medicine in association with the Program of Postgraduate Studies Health and Safety in Workplaces.

“Promovax” was presented in ECDC Workshop on regional synergies for immunization in hard-to-reach population groups

“Promovax” project representatives were invited to participate in the ECDC workshop in Sophia, Bulgaria, on 21-22 September and give an update on the project´s progress. The overall aim of the workshop was to promote regional collaboration for activities in the field of immunization among marginalized and hard-to-reach high risk populations.
