DELTA celebrates World Milk Day and provides milk to children and families in need in collaboration with Prolepsis Institute
On the occasion of World Milk Day observed every year on June 1st, DELTA aiming to highlight the nutritional value of milk will be offering one reason per day for which we need to drink milk. These tips will be posted on the website www.delta30meresgiortis.gr for the 30 days that this campaign will last.

End Malaria for Good: That is the theme for the World Malaria Day 2016 set by the World Health Organisation, reflecting the vision of a malaria-free world as it has been set out in the “Global technical strategy for malaria 2016-2030”. The new strategy adopted in 2015 by the World Health Assembly, aims to dramatically lower the global malaria burden by at least 90% by 2030, to eliminate the disease in at least 35 countries by 2030 and to prevent its resurgence in all countries that are malaria-free.

World Health Day 2016 – Diabetes
Health is a fundamental inalienable right. The World Health Day 2016 is dedicated to the prevention and management of Type 2 diabetes. Globally, the prevalence of diabetes approximates 9% among adults, while almost 1.5 million deaths are attributed to diabetes and its complications annually. The World Health Organization anticipates that diabetes will evolve into the 7th leading cause of death by 2030.
