A drug abuse programme towards tourists in the Halkidiki area in cooperation with experts from UK and Ireland

This programme constituted an innovative health education campaign against drugs in the highly touristic areas of Chalkidiki and targeted mainly the young residents of the region. In co-operation with experts from the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany and Italy, The Institute of Preventive Medicine, Environmental and Occupational Health,"Prolepsis" and the Center "Our Lady Who Loves Mankind" designed and printed pamphlets and posters in 5 languages that were placed in key areas around Chalkidiki and distributed to tourists. Moreover, messages and radio spots against drug abuse were broadcasted from both local and national channels while seminars for schoolchildren were held by lecturers form a variety of backgrounds.
