US Fulbright Grantee Meera Nagarajan concluded her fellowship at Prolepsis

June 13, 2017

Prolepsis team was honored and happy to have had Meera Nagarajan join our team as a Fulbright Research Fellow to study the impact of the DIATROFI Program.

Meera graduated from Ohio State University in 2016 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Nutrition and from September 2016 to June 2017 worked with Prolepsis’ scientific team, studying the impact of DIATROFI on health outcomes, specifically childhood weight status.

Upon her return to the U.S., Meera will attend the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College. Her aspiration is to become a physician and public health researcher and continue to address nutrition and health disparities among the most vulnerable.

Meera quickly became an asset to our team and it was an honor for Prolepsis to be a partner organization in the Fulbright Program, the premier international educational exchange program in the world.

The Fulbright Foundation in Greece offers scholarships to Greek and American citizens – students, teachers, scholars, and artists – to pursue a wide variety of educational projects. The Foundation awards grants to Greek and US citizens to study, teach, lecture, or conduct research in the United States and Greece respectively.

“Being a Fulbright Research Fellow at Prolepsis has been incredibly rewarding and I am so grateful for this opportunity. Working with such a great organization, I have learned so much both personally and professionally. Because of the truly collaborative nature at Prolepsis, I know that upon returning to the U.S., I will be well-equipped with the necessary skills and perspectives to further my career and contribute to society.”
