Prolepsis Institute: Call for Humanitarian Aid

December 21, 2015

Greece is one of the Member States most impacted by the unprecedented refugee crisis facing Europe. According to UNHCR, more than 790,000 third country nationals have arrived in Greece in 2015. Prolepsis Institute responds to the emergency situation that has been created by the refugee flows and asylum seekers and undertakes action in camps and open accommodation structures with the aim of providing refugees with some relief. The main assistance is to collect and provide food and essential items. Additionally, Prolepsis Institute has developed partnerships with organizations and works together with volunteers on the Eastern Aegean Islands of Kos and Leros assisting refugees upon their arrival by providing medical services, food and clothing and communication services.

Prolepsis Institute has also responded to UNHCR and DG SANCO calls for expressions of interest (in the framework of the Third Health Programme 2014-2020) by submitting proposals for participating in intervention programs regarding food aid, medical services and protection of public health.

The need for assistance being multiplied everyday due to the refugee flows in harsh winter conditions, we call for your financial aid in order to acquire food and essential items, such as clothing, shoes, blankets, child care items etc.

Your donation is necessary and invaluable.
