Presentation of the National Dietary Guidelines for Infants, Children and Teenagers in the 53th Panhellenic Pediatric Conference
The Hellenic Pediatric Association (International Pediatric Association – IPA) presented the 53th Panhellenic Pediatric Conference in Thessaloniki on May 29-31, 2015.
In the context of varied discussion themes, presentations of interesting cases and interventions by Greek and international scientists, the National Dietary Guidelines for Infants, Children and Teenagers was also presented, as they have been developed by the scientific team of Prolepsis Institute in collaboration with specialized scientists and professors from the Medical Schools of the Universities of Athens and Crete, Harokopeio University and the Agricultural University of Athens. Ms. Eleni Papadimitriou, MD, PhD of the Medical School of the University of Athens and member of the scientific team of the National Dietary Guides, presented the methodology and dietary recommendations for infants, children and teenagers.
The National Dietary Guidelines is a project carried out by Prolepsis Institute with a view to promoting healthy nutrition in Greece, by combining advanced scientific knowledge with the traditional Greek diet. Furthermore, the Dietary Guides focus on social and economic issues and they are valuable for all readers.
