Alexandra Coritsidis from Fordham University concluded her internship at Prolepsis
July 6, 2017
We are very happy and honored to have had Alexandra Coritsidis as a part of Prolepsis team for the past months.
Alexandra Coritsidis graduated in 2016 from Fordham University at Lincoln Center as a Natural Science major and with a concentration in political science. During college, she enjoyed participating in and volunteering for four cataract surgical and medical trips to rural Peru, where she was exposed to global and public health. She also volunteered throughout college for the trauma research team at Elmhurst Hospital Center, a large public hospital in one the most diverse neighborhoods in the United States, and assisted the team with retrospective studies, as well as community and public health oriented initiatives. This August 2017, Alexandra will begin her medical studies at SUNY Buffalo in upstate New York.
During her internship at Prolepsis Alexandra worked on a manuscript regarding obesity and unhealthy diets in the WHO European region, while also contributed to activities related to the H-Com project regarding the improvement of skills and competencies of health professionals in communication. Alexandra worked as well on a study that measures the quality of life in post-thyroidectomy patients.
We would like to thank Alexandra for her contribution and wish her the best of luck!
