The contribution of the mass media in cancer prevention and the dissemination of the European Code of Cancer

This programme included a three-day Conference on the contribution of the Mass Media in primary cancer prevention with the participation of journalists from all Member States of the European Union. The Conference took place in Athens, in October 1995, during the European Week Against Cancer and managed to sensitise and health educate the European Mass Media Professionals- especially those covering health related issues- in cancer prevention. All information resulting from the Conference was published in a booklet, translated in 4 European languages.
