Information Day about the European Project “European Workplace and Alcohol –EWA”
The Prolepsis Institute is organizing an information day to announce the results of the European project “European Workplace and Alcohol –EWA”.
The event will take place on Thursday, December 19, 2013, at 12.00 pm, at the Prolepsis Institute offices.
During the event the results of the program in all participating countries as well as more information about the interventions in Greece will be presented. In addition, representatives of the Greek organizations and companies, which implemented the EWA interventions, will discuss their experiences.

As part of the European project EWA, 18 universities and organizations from different European countries, designed, implemented and evaluated interventions on the safe use of alcohol in the workplace. The aim was to raise awareness and increase knowledge of workers about the safe use of alcohol and also inform employers on ways to promote the safe use of alcohol, and adopt or improve relevant policies in the workplace. Moreover, strong emphasis was placed on cultivating a healthy living culture in the workplace.
The project, which will be finalized at the end of this year, is funded by the Directorate General for Health and Consumers of the European Union and it is implemented, in our country, by Prolepsis Institute.The project Coordinator is GENCAT agency from Spain (Department of Health of the Government of Catalonia), while the consortium comprises 17 universities and organizations from various European countries.
