Nutrition Seminar in MetLife Insurance Company
Nutrition & Health at Work
Members of the scientific team of Prolepsis Institute visited the headquarters of MetLife Insurance Company in Athens on April 23, 2015, in the context of implementing the program Nutrition & Health at Work. The nutrition seminar was aimed at health promotion, and in particular, at the adoption of healthy eating habits and the prevention of obesity.
Employees at MetLife were thoroughly informed about healthy nutrition and nutritional requirements throughout life. Issues related to food groups (quantity and frequency of consumption), healthy eating habits, disease prevention, and physical activity were developed. Additionally, useful tips were given on smart and nutritious dietary options for the working hours of the day. The seminar included a presentation of healthy recipes by the chef Apostolis Meloudis and distribution of educational material developed by the Prolepsis Institute.
The program Nutrition & Health at Work is addressed to companies and organizations and it comprises group activities for the promotion of healthy nutrition in the workplace. The program may also contain personalized sessions with a dietitian to reduce body weight and improve the nutritional habits of participating employees.
