The Parents and Guardians Association and the student community of Athens College Elementary School are supporting the DIATROFI Program for a third consecutive year. With their kind donation we were able to offer 1,809 sandwiches to school children in Attica on November 15 and 16, 2017.

 

Moreover, 1,809 additional sandwiches will be distributed thanks to the matching funds provided by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, founding donor of the DIATROFI program. The donation took place within the school’s tradition of a periodic “Lito Gevma” (light meal), where the funding that would have otherwise gone towards a larger lunch was instead donated to the DIATROFI program. This concept aligns with the values of benefaction and solidarity.
