Τraining workshop for health professionals

Prolepsis institute will hold a training seminar on ‘Communication skills in healthcare for health care professionals’, which will take place on May 5-19, 2018 in the Institute’s facilities. (Frakoklisias 7, Marousi).

The seminar is held within the framework of the program – Health Communication training for health professionals, H-Com which is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. It focuses on healthcare professionals mainly medical doctors and nurses, and aims to enhance their communication skills. 

The seminar will focus on the areas of  counseling and communication skills for health professionals, communication with the patients in difficult situations, ethical issues, health literacy, interdisciplinary communication, communication with specific groups of patients (immigrants, elderly people, children/young adults) , communication about prevention, communication with patients with chronic diseases or with psychological problems, etc.

Participants will receive certificates upon completion of training as well as Continuing Medical Education credits issued by the Panhellenic Medical Association.

The H-Com program is a three year project co-funded by the EU Erasmus+ program. The aim of this program is to develop and strengthen the communication skills of health care professionals (focusing on medical doctors and nurses), in order to improve the relationship with their patients, as well as between professionals of different specialties. 

The Prolepsis Institute participates as partner from Greece in H-Com along with five more organizations from four other countries.
