REMESOS project: Κick-off meeting in Brussels
October 29, 2025
On October 23 and 24, the partners of the REMESOS project met in Brussels for the face-to-face kick-off meeting, hosted by EuroHealthNet.
Funded under the EU4Health Programme, REMESOS aims to empower communities, enhance resilience, and reduce the burden of mental ill-health through the Guided Functional Peer Support (GFP) model, a proven, community-based practice promoting inclusion, recovery, and mental wellbeing.

During the two-day meeting, partners discussed the project’s objectives, immediate priorities, and upcoming milestones, setting the foundation for strong collaboration throughout the three-year implementation period.

Prolepsis Institute, represented by Vicky Bempi, Project Manager and Epidemiology Researcher, leads both Work Package 5 on Implementation and Work Package 6 on Evaluation. During the meeting, she presented Prolepsis’ plans for adapting and piloting the GFP model in Greece, Slovakia, Portugal, and Bosnia & Herzegovina, and for assessing its impact and effectiveness across different contexts, highlighting the importance of evidence-based, community-driven approaches to mental health.
Together with our European partners, we are committed to building more resilient and mentally healthy societies across Europe.
