Prolepsis Institute Participates in CO-CAPTAIN Project Partners’ Meeting in Valencia

May 30, 2025

Prolepsis Institute participated in the consortium meeting of the EU-funded CO-CAPTAIN project, held on May 22–23 in Valencia.

The project focuses on primary cancer prevention among individuals with mental ill-health, through the pilot implementation of a Patient Navigation Model. This model targets key preventive behaviors, including healthy nutrition, physical activity, smoking cessation, vaccination, and other risky health behaviors.

During the meeting, partners had the opportunity to exchange experiences, review the project’s progress, and discuss in depth the next steps—both for the pilot implementation and for the overall advancement of the project.

To date, the project has reached 1,141 individuals with mental health conditions, with 252 participants already enrolled.

We remain committed to improving quality of life and ensuring equal access to prevention for all!

The Prolepsis Institute was represented by the project coordinators, Ms. Vicky Bempi, researcher, and Ms. Vasiliki Radaiou, epidemiologist and researcher.
