16 October: World Day of Nutrition

October 16, 2023

During a period of multiple economic and ecological crises, the motivation to ensure that all have access to a diet that promotes good health becomes much stronger, and with multiple benefits.

Currently, more policies than ever are being implemented in order to make it possible for all to have access to healthy foods, such as fruits, vegetables, olive oil, with methods such as supporting local producers, reducing food waste, and much more.

At the same time, in our daily life we should:

✅Choose organic foods, such as legumes and whole grain cereal.
👉Minimize our red meat consumption.
🛑Avoid foods rich in fats, sugars and salt.

The Prolepsis Institute sets the value of a good diet and healthy lifestyle as a priority, with guidance from the Journal of National Dietary Guidelines for Infants, Children and Adolescents and the DIATROFI Program, which aid the improvement of both physical and mental health among the population, in particular for vulnerable groups.
