{"id":7842,"date":"2018-12-27T16:32:52","date_gmt":"2018-12-27T13:32:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.prolepsis.gr\/uncategorized\/cancerless\/"},"modified":"2022-12-01T15:16:37","modified_gmt":"2022-12-01T12:16:37","slug":"cancerless-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.prolepsis.gr\/en\/programs\/cancerless-2\/","title":{"rendered":"CANCERLESS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<strong>CANCERLESS: For the early detection of cancer in the homeless.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\tProlepsis is a partner in a new European Horizon 2020 project entitled <b>&ldquo;Cancer prevention and early detection among the homeless population in Europe: Co-adapting and implementing the Health Navigator Model program &ndash; The CANCERLESS project&rdquo;<\/b>. The project was officially launched on June 1<sup>st<\/sup> 2021 and it will last for three years. The CANCERLESS project is coordinated by the Medical University of Vienna while it includes partner organizations with long-standing experience in the field of health and social care for homeless people in Europe, as well as various academic institutions and local governments.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\tApproximately one in three deaths among homeless individuals comes from non-communicable diseases, with cancer being the second most common cause of mortality.
