{"id":3311,"date":"2019-10-10T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2019-10-09T21:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.prolepsis.gr\/uncategorized\/a-scientific-study-by-the-prolepsis-institute-was-published-in-the-central-european-journal-of-publi\/"},"modified":"2022-11-03T14:48:56","modified_gmt":"2022-11-03T11:48:56","slug":"a-scientific-study-by-the-prolepsis-institute-was-published-in-the-central-european-journal-of-publi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.prolepsis.gr\/en\/news\/a-scientific-study-by-the-prolepsis-institute-was-published-in-the-central-european-journal-of-publi\/","title":{"rendered":"A scientific study by the Prolepsis Institute was published in the Central European Journal of Public Health"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<u>October 10, 2019<br \/>\n\t<\/u><\/p>\n<p>\n\tAn important study carried out by the Prolepsis Institute&#39;s scientific team on the attitudes and barriers of health professionals to vaccinate against certain infectious diseases was published in September in the prestigious scientific journal &ldquo;Central European Journal of Public Health&rdquo; (Cent Eur J Publ Health).<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe scientific article entitled &quot;Immunization related behavior among healthcare workers in Europe: Results of the HProImmune survey&quot; was based on research carried out under the European HproImmune program, which was co-funded by the Directorate-General for Health and Consumer Public Health Program 2008-2013 of the European Union. It was also implemented with the support of the Hellenic Center for Disease Control and Prevention (H.C.I.D.C.), which involved 5,424 health professionals from 14 EU countries.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tResearch shows that health professionals view vaccine-preventable diseases as a major threat to their health. However, the vaccine coverage of this group remains low. It is worth mentioning that 43.8% of health professionals (doctors, nurses) reported in the survey that they did not get the seasonal flu vaccine in the last 10 years.
