More specifically there are four volumes which are targeted at scientists as they contain scientific documentation and four that are targeted to the general public. <\/p>\n<p>\tThe National Dietary Guidelines are divided in 4 categories: <br \/>\n\t1.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Adults <br \/>\n\t2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Infants, children and adolescents <br \/>\n\t3.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Women (pregnancy, lactation and menopause) <br \/>\n\t4.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Adults over the age of 65. <\/p>\n<p>\tThe National Dietary Guidelines were presented during four workshops that were held in Athens (16 October &ndash; Presentation of the Adults&rsquo; Guide and 17 October &ndash; Presentation of the Infants, children and adolescents Guide), Thessaloniki (October 20 &ndash; Presentation of the Women&#39;s Guide) and Patras (October 30 Presentation of the Adults over 65 Guide). <\/p>\n<p>\tThe guides had been printed in 6500 copies which were distributed to various agencies (ministries, universities, hospitals, schools, etc.) and all content is be accessible and printable on the website: <a href=\"http:\/\/prolepsis.gr\/new\/icms\/editor\/empty\/www.diatrofikoiodigoi.gr\">www.diatrofikoiodigoi.gr <\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>\tDuring the four presentations, the scientists that have contributed to the creation of the National Dietary Guidelines presented their work to the public. <\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Thursday, October 16 -World Food Day, the formal presentation and distribution of the National Dietary Guidelines begun.<\/p>\n<p>An eight-volume collection that includes the work of 2 years of 40 Greek and foreign scientists.
