\n\tProlepsis Institute will participate in the European Scientific Conference on Applied Infectious Disease Epidemiology – ESCAIDE 2015 and in the pre-conference one-day workshop of the European Commission Agency: Consumers, Health, Agriculture and Food Executive Agency (CHAFEA). <\/p>\n

\tIn view of the ESCAIDE<\/a> conference set by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC<\/b>) in Stockholm on November 11 -13, 2015, CHAFEA <\/b>will organize in Stockholm a pre-event satellite workshop on<\/b> "Bringing epidemiology to public health security policy<\/a>” on November 10, 2015<\/b>. Members of the Prolepsis Institute scientific team will present the HProImmune and PROMOVAX programs, developed within the European Commission Public Health Program 2008-2013. The aim of this workshop is to offer experts, project partners and other conference participants the opportunity to exchange information on their work in the field of preparedness and response, and demonstrate how the Health program actions outputs have been applied at national and regional level. <\/p>\n

\tThe European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), whose mission is to identify, assess and communicate current and emerging threats to human health posed by infectious diseases is the main sponsor of the European conference ESCAIDE which serves as a great forum for information exchange and knowledge sharing among scientists in Europe and internationally. This year, the ESCAIDE conference is in Stockholm on November 11-13, 2015. The ESCAIDE 2015 program will offer a huge range of presentations, posters, seminars and workshops on all aspects of infectious disease prevention and control. <\/p>\n

\t\u0399n the pre-conference workshop of CHAFEA, Prolepsis Institute will present the projects HProImmune and PROVOMAX. The European project HProImmune “Promotion of Immunization for Health Professionals in Europe” is a project aiming to promote immunization among Health Care Workers. The target groups are health professionals, including nursing and auxiliary personnel who come into direct contact with patients. One of the outcomes of the Project is an Immunization Promotion ToolKit. Prolepsis Institute has been the key partner of this Project. HProImmune has been implemented with the support of the Hellenic Center for Disease Control and Prevention (HCDCP<\/a>) <\/p>\n

\tThe European Project PROMOVAX “Promote Vaccinations among Migrant Populations in Europe” is aiming to promote vaccinations among migrant populations in Europe as well as to enhance migrant health in general. Educational material has been developed for health professionals (in 8 languages) and for migrants (in 12 languages) as part of this Project. Prolepsis Institute is the Key Partner for PROMOVAX. <\/p>\n
