\n\tProlepsis Institute is presenting the National Dietary Guidelines at the 6th Symposium of the Working Groups of the Hellenic Atherosclerosis Society (HAS) that will take place on the 4th & 5th of December at Divani Caravel Hotel in Athens. Dr. Christine-Maria Kastorini, clinical dietician and nutritionist, will present on Friday the 4\/12 at 11:00am the project Development and dissemination of the general and specialized National Dietary Guidelines “Ef Dia…Trofin ” The presentation of Dr Kastorini will be part of the presentations of the working group: Epidemiology and Prevention of atherosclerosis. <\/p>\n

\tThe National Dietary Guidelines is a multifaceted project carried out by Prolepsis Institute in collaboration with a large scientific team, and it is addressed to the general adult population, women during various stages of their lives (pregnancy, breast feeding, menopause), children and adolescents and the elderly. The National Dietary Guidelines have been developed with a view to contribute to the promotion of the population’s health, based on recent scientific knowledge and by making the best use of Greek traditional diet. \tThe symposium of the working groups of the HAS is conducted every 2 years and aims to present the latest data from the scientific field of each working group, as well as the results of scientific activities of the members of each working group. The program of the symposium includes lectures from distinguished scientists, satellite speeches and round-table discussions regarding all the latest developments in the prevention and therapy of cardiovascular disease while special emphasis is given in presentation of cases with active participation of the public, as well as current therapeutic topics. <\/p>\n
