{"id":2842,"date":"2017-07-12T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2017-07-11T21:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.prolepsis.gr\/uncategorized\/informative-event-at-zarifopoulos-sa-to-promote-healthy-eating-and-physical-activity\/"},"modified":"2022-11-03T14:47:48","modified_gmt":"2022-11-03T11:47:48","slug":"informative-event-at-zarifopoulos-sa-to-promote-healthy-eating-and-physical-activity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.prolepsis.gr\/en\/news\/informative-event-at-zarifopoulos-sa-to-promote-healthy-eating-and-physical-activity\/","title":{"rendered":"Informative event at ZARIFOPOULOS S.A. to promote healthy eating and physical activity"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n\t<u>July 12, 2017<\/u><\/div>\n<div>\n\t&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>\n\tAn event to promote healthy eating habits, daily physical activity, and general health, in everyday life including the work place, was held on June 27, 2017 at the ZARIFOPOULOS S.A. offices, by the Prolepsis Institute.<\/div>\n<div>\n\t&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>\n\tSpecialist in health promotion and nutritionist of Prolepsis informed ZARIFOPOULOS S.A. employees on the principles of healthy diets, the different food groups (quantity and frequency on consumption of different foods), disease prevention, and physical activity. Advice on how to make smart nutritional decisions during working hours was also presented. At the end of the seminar Chef Mr. Miliopoulos, prepared a healthy and easy recipes which the employees had the opportunity to sample. Informative material was also distributed to the employees.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>\n\t&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>\n\tThrough the discussions with the scientific staff of Prolepsis and their active participation during the seminar, the employees expressed great interest in the material presented.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>\n\t&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>\n\tDuring the seminar, the participants were also informed about the Program on Food Aid and Nutrition Education &ndash; DIATROFI, which is implemented for six consecutive school years in socioeconomically vulnerable areas throughout Greece.<\/div>\n<div>\n\t&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>\n\tZARIFOPOULOS S.A. supported the Program this year by offering organic extra virgin olive oil for the preparation of meals distributed to the schools.
