\n\tProlepsis was honored and happy to have had Anya McDermott as part of our team for the past month.  <\/p>\n

\n\tAnya is a medical student entering her second year at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.  In 2014 she graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.A. in peace, war, and defense. This summer she decided to work at Prolepsis.  <\/p>\n

\n\tHer interests include global health, biosecurity, and emergency preparedness. At Prolepsis, Anya was involved mainly with the Program on Food Aid and Promotion of Healthy Nutrition – DIATROFI <\/span><\/a>and the AGROSH+ program (“OSH+ for the European Agriculture sector – Stimulating growth in rural areas through capacity building for providers and beneficiaries of occupational medicine and OSH services”). She was also involved in research and gained clinical experience alongside with Professor of Surgery Dimitri\u03bfs Linos.<\/a><\/p>\n

\n\t"Prolepsis has given me the unique opportunity to apply my medical education to real programs and policies. The immense impact Prolepsis has on public health in Greece and across Europe reminds me why I originally wanted to study medicine.  It is an honor to work with passionate and brilliant people toward such a noble goal."
