\n\tWe express our deep condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims of the catastrophic floods in Western Attica. <\/div>\n
\n\t <\/div>\n
\n\tAs an act of support and solidarity to the victims, we are collecting food and necessities on Monday 27, Tuesday 28 and Wednesday 29 of November at our offices (7, Fragoklisias Street, Marousi, 10am to 5pm).  <\/div>\n
\n\t <\/div>\n
\n\tThrough this action we invite the Institute’s friends, colleagues and volunteers and all those interested to provide support to our fellow citizens either through the actions organized by Prolepsis Institute or through those organized by other institutions \/ bodies that offer their assistance to the area. <\/div>\n
\n\t <\/div>\n
\n\tGiven the difficulties in preparing a warm meal and the need for safe and healthy food, the Institute’s specialists suggest that the following food categories should be collected and distributed, at least until every household is properly restored:<\/div>\n
\n\t <\/div>\n
\n\tAppropriate Food<\/b><\/div>\n
\n
    \n
  • \n\t\t\tDried fruit: e.g. plums, apricots, raisins, figs.<\/li>\n
  • \n\t\t\tOnly canned vegetables: corn, mushrooms, peppers, peas, artichoke. <\/li>\n
  • \n\t\t\tRusks, crispbread, cereal, oatmeal. <\/li>\n
  • \n\t\t\tCondensed milk (not sweetened).<\/li>\n
  • \n\t\t\tPacked canned food: tuna in oil, sardines, anchovies, octopus, meat (pork or beef), salmon, shrimps, meatballs, chicken, stewed pork.<\/li>\n
  • \n\t\t\tOnly canned legumes: lentils, beans and butter beans, black-eyed peas, chickpeas. <\/li>\n
  • \n\t\t\tOlive oil, olives, nuts (almonds-walnuts-hazelnuts), tahini.<\/li>\n
  • \n\t\t\tOther food categories: cocoa powder, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, oregano, tea, honey, crackers, whole wheat biscuits, cereal bars, vinegar.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n
    \n\tNecessities<\/b><\/div>\n

      \n
    • \n\t\t\tBaby products: diapers, wipes and food (milk, instant cereal powder for toddlers from 6 to 12 months and over 12 months).<\/li>\n
    • \n\t\t\tPads, toilet paper, paper towels.<\/li>\n
    • \n\t\t\tClothes for babies and children.<\/li>\n
    • \n\t\t\tClothes and shoes, sleeping bags, blankets, rubber boots and raincoats for underaged and adults.<\/li>\n
    • \n\t\t\tShovels, wire brooms, floor wipers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n
