Within the national and European programs framework, the Institute has designed, organized and implemented a plethora of trainings for health professionals. A few examples can be found below:<\/p>\n
Development of a toolkit and implementation of educational actions aiming for the promotion of vaccination coverage for health professionals.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n
Within the framework of the European program\u00a0HProlmmune<\/a><\/b>\u00a0a useful\u00a0educational toolkit<\/b>\u00a0(pamphlets, instructions, presentations etc.)\u00a0<\/b>was developed,\u00a0<\/b>aiming for the\u00a0promotion<\/b>\u00a0of\u00a0vaccination coverage for health professionals<\/b>. The toolkit concerns specific infectious diseases including\u00a0influenza<\/b>\u00a0and is addressed with an appropriately modified content:<\/p>\n It is available in\u00a07 languages<\/b>\u00a0and its content keeps raising awareness and guiding health professionals in vaccination coverage issues.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n Development of educational material and implementation of educational actions for the improvement of communication skills of health professionals.<\/i><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n Within the\u00a0Health Communication Training for Health Professionals \u2013H-COM\u00a0<\/b>framework,\u00a0educational materials were developed\u00a0<\/b>and\u00a0educational seminars\u00a0<\/b>were implemented, which aimed for the\u00a0improvement<\/b>\u00a0of\u00a0communication<\/b>, between\u00a0health professionals<\/b>\u00a0and patients as well as between\u00a0health professionals of various specializations<\/b>.<\/p>\n At the same time, the e-learning platform that has been developed is available on the website\u00a0h-com.eu<\/a>, training and providing answers to hundreds of health professionals for various health communication issues.<\/p>\n Organization of educational seminars in collaboration with USA Universities.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n For a number of years, the Institute has organized seminars for doctors of different specializations with the topic of composing scientific papers titled \u201cMedical Writing Seminar\u201d, with accreditation from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and lecturing Professors of Harvard University.<\/p>\n Development of educational materials and implementation of educational actions to improve the skills of Health Professionals in the Workplace.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n Aiming to improve the skills of\u00a0European Health Professionals in the Workplace<\/b>\u00a0and to cover the needs of the elderly work force, the European\u00a0E-CAPACIT8 –\u00a0<\/b>Strengthening occupational health professionals’ capacities to improve the health of the ageing workforces was implemented, to which the Prolepsis Institute participated as a partner (2008-2013).<\/p>\n The educational material developed within the\u00a0E-CAPACIT8<\/b>\u00a0framework is addressed, with an appropriately modified content, to the medical and nursing staff of the work place, to\u00a0work psychologists, security technicians, ergonomists, administrative staff<\/b>\u00a0etc. Read more\u00a0here.<\/a><\/p>\n Training of health professionals in hygiene and safety issues in the agricultural sector<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n The promotion of Health and Safety of the workers lies in the center of Prolepsis Institutes\u2019 interest. Especially for the issue of the health of farmers, who constitute the backbone of primary production, the Prolepsis Institute has implemented in the past research and applied programs aiming to safeguard their health from pesticides. During the two-year period 2016-2018 it participated as a partner in the educational program\u00a0AGROSH+,<\/a><\/b>\u00a0which focused on the education of work doctors and security technicians in issues of work Health and Safety which concern the agricultural sector.<\/b><\/p>\n Training and instruction of health professionals in providing specialized sanitary care to children of refugees and immigrants.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n Children of refugees and immigrants are particularly vulnerable during all stages of the trip to the host country, as well as the conditions of the host country. The\u00a0instruction\u00a0<\/b>of\u00a0health professionals<\/b>\u00a0in\u00a0topics<\/b>\u00a0such as\u00a0providing specialized sanitary care to children of refugees and immigrants<\/b>\u00a0constitutes the aim of the European program\u00a0EU-VET CARE project<\/a><\/b>: Strengthening capacities for better health care to refugee and migrant children, Erasmus +<\/b>, to which the Prolepsis Institute acts as a partner.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Development of educational packet for strengthening the skill of recognizing new threats to public health from European health professionals.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n In order to improve the skills of the health professionals in immediately recognizing, after a clinical examination, and dealing with new threats to public health that arise from deliberate actions, such as attacks with biological, chemical, and radioactive factors, the educational program\u00a0European Training of Health Professionals on Rapid Response to Health Threats \u2013 ETHREAT\u00a0<\/b>(2005-2008) was implemented. Within the\u00a0ETHREAT\u00a0<\/b>framework, among others, a\u00a0common European packet<\/b>\u00a0and a guide for\u00a0reinforcing the recognition<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0response<\/b>\u00a0of the health professionals to new\u00a0public health threats<\/b>\u00a0were developed.<\/p>\n Development of an educational tool to inform, report and compare information related to the content of the initial training and the vocational training in Public Health in member states of the European Union.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n\n
