Digital HEalth liteRacy Education for vulnerable groups
Prolepsis Institute participates as a partner in the European program: Digital HEalth liteRacy Education for vulnerable groups – iHERE.
iHERE is a two-year program (01/11/2020 – 30/10/2022), funded by the ERASMUS+ Programme of the European Union and aims to create a comprehensive, tailor made educational tool to increase the digital literacy levels of vulnerable groups.
The program is targeted to socially vulnerable groups –such as migrants, refugees, the unemployed, people on low-income and socially excluded groups. These groups seem to face various health issues due to lack of social support and difficulties in accessing the health system. Low levels of health literacy, lack of educational opportunities, physical and mental health needs of these groups are areas that need further study.
In this context, the program aims to promote an educational program geared towards people from different social groups and to empower adult education trainers in the field with the appropriate tools and resources.
The iHERE program consortium consists of 8 organizations from 6 countries: Belgium, Greece, Cyprus, Italy, Spain, Germany.
