OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH
 Workers' health and safety is one of the major Institute's interests. Prolepsis members and associates are actively involved in occupational health particularly in research, legislation and training. Moreover, Prolepsis designs, coordinates and implements applied occupational health projects, provides advisory consultancy services for the prevention of occupational diseases and designs strategy plans to respond to large scale accidents and disasters.

Indicatively, our associates have participated in:
- the study of quality assurance of occupational health services and risk assessment of large industrial units (Aluminium de Grece, LARKO)
- the design and development of workers' occupational and health record and work methodology for ability assessment commissioned by the Greek Institute of Health and Safety at Work (ΕΛΙΝΥΑΕ)
- a large number of national and international committees (e.g. Council for Judgment for Risky, Heavy and Unhealthy Professions, Highest Committee on Hygiene and Work Safety of the Ministry of Labor, Committee for biological agents EEC)
- the study regarding occupational risk factors for pregnant and breast-feeding women that lead to the adoption of a relevant directive by the European Union (1995)
- occupational health services to private companies.
