MEDICAL RESEARCH
Carrying out medical research projects is a clear priority for the Institute of Preventive Medicine, Environmental and Occupational Health. Responding to the infrastructure and technical support deficits in the field of medical research in Greece, the Institute Prolepsis offers consultancy services on the organization and methodology of research to junior scientists, health professionals as well as researchers employed by the industry (pharmaceutical, food production, e.t.c.).

- the role of olive oil, and diet in general, on the prevention of malignancies and rheumatoid arthritis (Greek Ministry of Health)
- the role of the influenza virus on the development of brain tumors in children (European Union)
- the role of collagen IX tryptophan polymorphisms in the development of intervertebral disc disease (Harvard University, "Ygeia" Hospital)
- the follow-up of patients with lymphoma (National Cancer Institute, USA)
- the etiology of leukemia and Non Hodgkins Lymphoma (National Cancer Institute, USA).
