Prolepsis is active in the study of the effect of environment on human health using both epidemiologic research methodology as well as innovative methodology for environmental measurements.

Indicatively, the Institute and its associates have implemented the following projects:
participation in project "Life" (financed by the European Union and the Prefecture of Athens) regarding the cyclic hydrocarbons in 7 European cities (including Athens)
study on the effect of water pipelines on public health (Greek Ministry of Health)
research and applied projects for the effect of pesticides on human health, with the support of the European Union and the National Institute of Health, USA
two multicenter projects are currently in progress aiming at the development of health indicators for farmers and fishers and the training of health professionals on issues of terrorism (biological, chemical, radioactive agents).
